Abstract: Since the birth of electronic computers, humanity has experienced multiple eras, including scientific computing, personal computing, mobile computing and cloud computing, and now is advancing toward the era of smart computing. The ubiquity of computing stems from the strong support of integrated circuits. Moore's law and von Neumann's architecture serve as two powerful engines driving the continuous progress of computing technology. However, as Moore's law is slowing down, the current mainstream computing chip architecture is facing huge challenges such as low computational efficiency, high power consumption, and high cost. Performance wall, power wall and memory wall are impeding the forward momentum of computing technology. Seeking new computer architecture has become an urgent task, but it also provides a new opportunity. As the Turing Award winners John Hennessy and David Patterson said, today is "a new golden age of computer architecture". The combination of software definition chip technology based on reconfigurable computing technology and 3D integration technology has explored a new way for the innovation of computing architecture. Although far from fully breaking free from the von Neumann architecture, it significantly enhances chip computational efficiency and energy efficiency, holding substantial practical significance in the era of artificial intelligence.
